Why I Started Chasing Stamps
I got to know that I’m alive when I’m travelling.
Not in a cliché way. I mean it literally. I’ve sat in perfectly fine apartments in beautiful cities feeling completely hollow. And I’ve stood on the crater rim of Mount Mahawu in North Sulawesi, wind hitting my face, ocean stretching out in every direction, and felt more awake than I had in months.
That contrast is everything.
I started travelling Southeast Asia in 2024 and something shifted. The further I went from the tourist trail, the more I found what I was actually looking for. Mountain roads with no signs. Volcanoes at sunrise. Cities that don’t have a hashtag yet.
And somewhere along the way I started figuring out the things nobody had written down for people like me. Visas that aren’t obvious. Border crossings that work differently depending on your passport. How to actually live and work remotely from anywhere you desire in this world (especially Asia) with peaceful mind and stable finances.
That’s what Chasing Stamps is. The real information, from someone still out there chasing it.
